Rescue

These dogs are available for placement.  Their history is not know and some may have a health issue. These Labradors were removed from homes because of poor conditions or abuse.  I do not know their actual age or pedigree.  I have them here to help them recuperate mentally and physically.

Lilly

Lilly is a 10 month old chocolate female. Lilly was rescued from a Pit Bull training ring. She is missing half of her left ear and had to have 118 stitches to close multiple bite wounds and drains to help clear up infections. She is quite camera shy and stays close to my dogs at all times. She is very sweet and forgiving. All of her after care was quite painful for her, she never stopped wagging her tail. This girl deserves a second chance for a happy life. Her delight is to play tug of war with toys. Always wants to be with a friend so she will have to be adopted by a kind person that has another dog. She is now spayed, housebroken, leash trained and had all vaccines. She is wonderful with other dogs and loves to be held.

Sally

Sally is a 2 year old black female that is one quarter Border Collie. Sally came from a loving home that gave her up for adoption because they could not afford the surgery to correct her eye entropian (very painful turning in of the eye lids). Sally recovered quickly from the eye surgery and is ready for a home with high energy levels. She is a fun dog that wants to be busy and active. She adores children and loves to involved in all that is going on. Her owners reported she loves to play Frisbee and soccer. She is spayed, housebroken, obedience trained and a happy girl. Vaccinated and heartworm tested free. She is ready to go!

Taffy

Taffy is a chocolate female who is 15 months old. Taffy was turned into rescue because the owner had multiple small dogs that did not like Taffy. This is a kind, forgiving girl that loves all that crosses her path. She is good with cats and other dogs. Taffy had been well taken care of but the owners choice was for the small dogs. Spayed, vaccinated, heartworm free and a wonderful companion.

- Cinder black female about 2 years old.  Cinder was hit by a car and arrived here after being abandoned at a Veterinary Clinic after surgery had been performed to correct her broken leg.  She is doing well and is ready to find a new home.  She runs and plays well with the other dogs.  This girl is very small at about 15 inches tall. I call her the apartment sized Labrador:-) Cinder has very little of her tongue left as it must have been severed at the time of her injury.  Eating is a chore she takes complete dedication to, but it does take her a while.  Her idea of drinking water is a bit on the messy side but she is a dear gal.  She is good with children and likes our resident cat.  Housebroken and leash trained with a desire of being with you makes her a loving package. Micro chipped, spayed, vaccinated and heartworm free too, Cinder is a girl that can move right in.  No photo available.

- Tammy a black female rescued from a large puppy mill.  Tammy arrived here with 3 other gals that were used for producing litters.  They were in poor condition with large abdomens and a serious heart condition (TVD).  They cannot be adopted due to their health issues. These four girls were very sad to see.  They did everything together as they were afraid of any light colored dogs.  Two have since passed away due to the heart condition.  The two remaining are Tammy and Laura.  Both still cling to each other, eat together, sleep together and do not want to be parted at any time, for any reason.  To get their photos I had to tie one for they seem glued together.

Life here has been easy for them.  They are allowed to do as they please and have complete freedom in fenced in areas.  Both love to lay at the water's edge of the pond and venture for a swim when all the gang are out together. Both Tammy and Laura are bull frog hunters and take this mission seriously, what fun they have getting muddy.

I have had them for over a year and will keep them until they pass away.  I worry about one passing before the other but can do nothing for them but keep them together and happy.

Tammy

- Laura black female about 4 years old.  Laura has seizures often but has adjusted well to medication. She is not adoptable due to several health issues. See Tammy (above) for further information.

Laura

Please email me at Tabathalabs@aol.com if you are interested.  These are dogs that get along well with other dogs and adjust well.  I would like to get to know you before I send them with you, so no shipping of dogs.  I live in Sandusky Ohio.
Thank you for considering them.
